About Mrs. Herring

Mrs. Herring teaches Reading Recovery to 1st graders and provides reading intervention services to grades 1st-3rd at Rhoades Elementary in Broken Arrow.  She just finished her 7th year with BAPS and her 14th year of teaching.  Previously, she taught 1st grade in Ponca City.

 

Mrs. Herring graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Master of Science with emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction/Elementary Education.  She holds National Board Certification in the area of Literacy: Reading-Language Arts Early/Middle Child.  Mrs. Herring is a published author of the children's book The Great Strawberry Mystery.  This is Mrs. Herring's second Fund for Teachers fellowship, and she is thankful for the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally as she embarks on this exciting journey.
